THRILLER: Juan Riverio, the CIA Officer tasked with monitoring the Mexican and Central / South American Drug Cartels, is found murdered in a small village in Mexico. The only thing the CIA knows is he was meeting with a contact who had information from an informant.
Since Robert worked with Juan before, the task is given to Sam and Robert to find out what Juan knew that required his death? They discover the unthinkable while they also find out the British SIS is pursuing the case. This is not good news for Robert. The SIS person involved is someone he’d worked with prior to his injury in Siberia. In fact, they worked multiple cases together, usually undercover as husband and wife, and they were very convincing at it. Very convincing. Hoping to avoid any confrontation, Robert doesn’t disclose this past relationship to Sam.
But his past becoming known is not the only thing Robert has to worry about.
